white cow

I started this gal over a year ago, and I was not particularly impressed with my effort, so she sat around until today. Since I already didn’t like it, I had nothing to lose….. So I changed up the color of the background and used a ¾ inch brush for most of this painting then a liner brush for just the few highlights on her face. Larger brushes force a more painterly style—which I love. My original photo was really lacking any interest to begin with, so I think the looser brushwork adds to this as a painting. Now if I could just come up with a better title than “white cow” I’d be set!
